Of Americans aged 85 years or older, 1 in 3 has Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia.  White Oaks Memory Care was developed to address a need, not a choice. White Oaks is organized into four resident neighborhoods that define three exterior courtyards. One is a therapeutic courtyard with raised garden beds and two are landscaped courtyards with walking loops. Each residential neighborhood has a living room and a place for resident activities that includes a TV lounge. Residents take meals in two dining areas that are incorporated into two of the resident neighborhoods.

The Community features a hair salon, a winter garden, two sun rooms, a fitness area and two multi-purpose lounge rooms for resident and family activities.  A café space and movie room are additional areas and the family dining area is a gateway to the winter garden. The Community is wired for a nurse call system, pendants and bracelets for residents to call for emergency services and Wi-Fi service.

Services arranged to make days fulfilling and comfortable include: health monitoring and nursing assessments, assistance with activities of daily living…bathing, dressing, ambulating, personal grooming and hygiene. Services also include: medication reminders and assistance, three meals per day, weekly housekeeping and laundry, assistance with transportation, 24 hour staffing with nurses and certified nurse assistants, recreation activities and a schedule of wellness events.
